*I agree to the following terms and conditions relating to Data Protection: Data Protection IRFU + Galway Bay RC
1. It is necessary for Galway Bay RC to collect and record certain personal data relating to each member, including the member’s name,address, telephone number and date of birth.
2. The data about each member shall be provided to the IRFU, the relevant Branch and other third parties to facilitate any services provided relating to the Irish Rugby Football Union’s Player Registration Programme Website (the “Website”) and published on the Website.
3. It is the IRFU that controls any data provided.
4. The system will be used for management and administration purposes only.
5. Any party receiving the information shall not use it for commercial purposes or release it to any party without prior approval.
6. The Club wishes to ensure that each of its members (for the purposes of applicable data protection legislation) explicitly and unambiguously consents to the processing of personal data by the Club in conjunction with its ordinary business.
7. Therefore, the member’s parent or guardian should confirm the following: I consent to the use of the player’s personal details as set out above and for such purposes as the IRFU considers reasonable and appropriate (including those activities detailed above). I agree to the following CODE FOR PARENTS
1. Remember, young people play rugby for their enjoyment, not only yours.
2. Encourage your child always to play by the Laws of the Game.
3. Teach young children that honest endeavour is as important as winning, so that the result of each game is accepted without disappointment.
4.Help young people to work towards skill improvement and good sportsmanship.
5. Set a good example by applauding good play on both sides. Never ridicule, humiliate or shout at young players for making a mistake or losing a match.
6. Do not place emphasis on winning at all costs.
7. Do not force an unwilling child to participate in the playing of rugby. If the child is to play, he/she will do so in good time through your encouragement.
8. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from rugby. As a spectator do not use profane language or harass referees, coaches or players. Do not publicly question the referees' judgement and never their honesty. Recognise the value and importance of volunteer referees and coaches.
9. Identify and acknowledge the good qualities of the Game of Rugby and uphold these values. Remember you and your child's contribution to the Game of Rugby is very important to the IRFU and be proud of your contribution. Understand the value of team sport and the importance there of.

I agree to the following terms and condition relating to Code of Conduct
CODE FOR PLAYERS and I agree to support the coaches in promoting these values.
1. Play for enjoyment and become part of the rugby family.
2. Respect the "Game of Rugby" and play within the laws of the Game.
3.Accept the referee's decision and let your captain or coach ask any relevant questions.
4.Play with control. Do not lose your temper.
5.Always do your best and be committed to the game, your team and your club.
5. Be a "good sport". Applaud all good play whether by your team or the opposition. Respect your opponent.
6. Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not "bully" or take advantage of any player.
7. Rugby is a team sport and make sure you cooperate with your coach; team mates and members of your club. Remember that the goals of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and feel good.
8. At the end of the match thank your opponents and the referee for the match. Always remember that you owe a duty of care to your opponents.
9. Tackle hard but fairly, do not intend to hurt your opponent.
10. Winning and losing is part of sport: Win with humility lose with dignity.
11. As part of the team it is important that you attend training regularly and listen to your coach and help your team. As a team sport it is important to understand that all members are important to the team!
12. Remember you are representing your team, club, family and the Game of Rugby. CODE FOR

I agree to the following terms and conditions relating to membership of Galway Bay RC: Declaration IRFU + Galway Bay RC
1. I wish to apply for membership of Galway Bay Rugby Club
2. I accept and understand Galway Bay Rugby Club rules and agree that I and my child will adhere to same.
3. I accept and understand the IRFU code of conduct for players, parents , coaches and supporters (Irish Rugby.ie) and agree that I and my child will adhere to same.
4. I will not hold Galway Bay RC responsible for losses, whether medical or otherwise, incurred while participating in Galway Bay RC activities.
5. The club operates IRFU compulsory player injury insurance but this is for major injury only.
6. The club recommends that you take out your own 24 hour personal injury insurance (available through most schools at very affordable price)
7. I give permission for my child to be taken to hospital in the event of serious injury, where I am not available.
8. I give permission for my child to be photographed and published on the clubs website and social media platforms as part of normal promotional activities of the club.
